Through Life Support (TLS) Manager
We are seeking a Through Life Support (TLS) Manager to establish, lead and continuously improve the support capability for complex maritime, autonomous and remote systems throughout their operational lifecycle.
This role combines:
- Through Life Support strategy and service delivery
- Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and maintenance engineering
- Customer support, operational readiness and lifecycle performance
You will ensure products are designed with supportability at their core and remain safe, available, reliable, maintainable and mission-ready long after delivery. Working closely with engineering, operations, delivery and commercial teams, you will build scalable support frameworks that enable customers to maximise the value and performance of their assets throughout service life.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure and long-term thinking to complex engineering programmes, balancing customer needs with technical, operational and commercial considerations to deliver world-class support services.

What you will be doing
- Develop and implement the company's Through Life Support strategy, establishing scalable support frameworks, policies, standards and performance measures that can support multiple programmes and customers
- Lead Integrated Logistics Support activities, including maintenance concepts, supportability analysis, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), reliability planning and the delivery of customer support artefacts aligned to contractual requirements
- Establish and manage technical support services, including incident management, fault investigation, engineering reach-back and post-delivery support, ensuring rapid resolution of issues affecting operational assets
- Define and optimise maintenance strategies, inspection regimes and asset health monitoring approaches that improve reliability, availability and operational performance throughout the product lifecycle
- Develop spares strategies, provisioning plans and obsolescence management approaches, working closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure the availability of critical components and minimise support risks
- Own configuration and technical documentation processes, ensuring product baselines, engineering changes, technical publications, maintenance manuals and user documentation remain accurate and controlled throughout service life
- Act as the primary customer interface for support activities, leading reviews, monitoring contractual performance against KPIs and SLAs, and identifying opportunities for service improvement and support contract growth
- Establish support reporting and governance frameworks, tracking availability, reliability, MTBF, MTTR and service performance metrics while driving continuous improvement initiatives

Who you are
- Experienced in Through Life Support, Integrated Logistics Support, maintenance engineering, service delivery or a related engineering discipline, with a proven track record of building or leading support functions
- Strong understanding of reliability, maintainability and availability principles, and how they influence product performance throughout the operational lifecycle
- Comfortable working across engineering, operations, supply chain, production and commercial teams to ensure supportability is considered from concept through to retirement
- Customer-focused and commercially aware, with experience managing customer relationships, support contracts and service performance in complex technical environments
- Organised and methodical, capable of balancing strategic planning with practical day-to-day support delivery and operational problem-solving

Desirable
- Experience supporting maritime, defence, aerospace, offshore, autonomous systems or other highly regulated and mission-critical environments
- Knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support methodologies and associated deliverables, including ILSPs, maintenance plans, provisioning and supportability analysis
- Experience managing technical support services, warranty programmes, field service activities or post-delivery support organisations
- Familiarity with configuration management, technical publications, asset management systems and lifecycle support tooling
- Demonstrated experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives using support performance data and operational metrics
Given the nature of the work, this role requires you to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of UK national security clearance. You must be willing and able to undergo the necessary security vetting process, and continued employment in the role may be subject to maintaining the required clearance.
