About the Role
You will act as an advocate for service users, signposting and referring them to the necessary agencies to support their holistic recovery. You will prepare service users for release and provide additional support in the community. This may include accompanying prison leavers to community appointments and advocating for them to facilitate their engagement with probation and community support services. The role is 100% based at HMP Pentonville, with all community-based work risk-assessed and supported by adequate staffing.
As a Through the Gate worker, you will need knowledge of recovery, care planning, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external agencies.

- Experience working with vulnerable adults presenting with substance, alcohol, and associated issues

This role requires occasional late shifts and weekends on a rota basis (8am-8pm Monday-Sunday). Candidates with a preference for working evenings and weekends only are encouraged to apply.
