TICA Qualified Thermal Insulation Engineers (Laggers) Required

We are currently looking to recruit experienced TICA Qualified Thermal Insulation Engineers (TIEs/Laggers) for a shutdown project at Didcot Power Station. This is a great opportunity to join a busy site with immediate starts available and competitive NAECI rates.

The project is expected to run for 3 to 4 weeks, with plenty of hours available and additional bonuses and allowances on offer.

The Role

Successful candidates will be involved in a range of thermal insulation activities across industrial plant and pipework systems. Duties will include:

  • Installation, maintenance and removal of thermal insulation on pipework, vessels, ducting and associated plant equipment.
  • Measuring, cutting and fitting a variety of insulation materials to required specifications.
  • Fabrication and installation of aluminium and stainless steel cladding.
  • Working from drawings, specifications and site instructions to complete works safely and efficiently.
  • Carrying out repairs, modifications and replacements to existing insulation systems.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and health & safety at all times.
  • Working as part of an experienced site team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Valid TICA qualification/card.
  • Previous experience working on industrial, power generation, petrochemical or similar sites.
  • Strong understanding of insulation systems and metal cladding installation.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a busy site environment.
  • Immediate availability preferred.

NAECI Cat 4 Grade 5 PAYE Rates

  • Monday to Friday (First 38 Hours): £20.91 per hour
  • Overtime 1 (After 38 Hours & First 4 Hours on Saturday): £29.27 per hour
  • Overtime 2 (After 4 Hours on Saturday & All Day Sunday): £37.64 per hour

Additional Benefits

  • £1.00 per hour bonus
  • Paid travel time
  • Train fares covered
  • Lodge allowance of £53.39 per day (taxable)
