Ticketing and Retail Manager (Maternity Cover) - FTC

We are currently seeking a Ticketing and Retail Manager (maternity cover) - FTC to join our Ticketing and Retail team, based in our offices at the racecourse in Ascot, Berkshire.

This is a full-time, temporary role for 12 months from August 2026.

What you’ll be doing

An important role, working alongside the Senior Ticketing and Retail Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the Ticketing and Retail Team as a whole.

This role will form part of the team that will interact on a day-to-day basis with the proactive sales team to fulfil the requirements of the customers. It is the duty of this role to help towards the smooth operation of the ticketing team.

It is also the duty of this role to assist and support with the day-to-day management of the Ticketing and Retail team and all the processes encompassed within the team.

  • Line management of members of the Ticketing and Retail team. Managing performance, conducting regular 1:1s and bi-yearly appraisals.
  • Working alongside the Senior Ticketing and Retail Manager (STRM) to assist with the recruitment and training of new team members, and cross training of the team to enable all members of the department to pull together during periods of annual leave or absence.
  • Support the STRM with liaising with suppliers and contractors such as GPEX, TBSG, Ticketmaster, Greyville, T&F, Outbox, and the Virtual Business Centre, along with any other retail suppliers, to organise and collate collateral orders, retail product orders, and co-ordinating the delivery schedule and in-house receipt.
  • Assisting the STRM with the management and co-ordination of the ongoing ticketing and retail budget spreadsheet when liaising with the above suppliers.
  • Using PS Financials, raise PO’s and approve invoices as and when required for the above orders.
  • Support the STRM and the Senior Ticketing & Retail Executive with the management of the Ascot Shop, assisting with management of raceday staff, reconciliation, and management of online sales.
  • Assist with the planning and recruitment of the Royal Ascot FTC team and help with the line management of the fulfilment team during the period of their employment.
  • Supporting the wider T&R Team with reporting and reconciliation of bookings through Ticketmaster Sport.
  • Supporting the current TRM with the set up and reporting of the customer helpdesk – ZenDesk.
  • Support the team with the management of all inboxes such as Agency Bookings, Ascot Shop, Comp Requests, and such like.

General Team Support

  • Supporting the team with production, printing, fulfilment, and despatch of all admission tickets for all Ascot Racecourse events, including general admission, fine dining packages, and Ascot Raceday boxes packages.
  • As a team, respond to enquiries on general admission.
  • Support the proactive sales team by handling incoming call enquiries with the Virtual Business Centre.
  • Dealing with all aspects of ‘after sales’ care including cancellations, refund requests, and administration enquiries.
  • Provide customer services support in the run up to and during the Royal Meeting.
  • Attend and assist with all Ascot Racedays.
  • Work closely with 1711 By Ascot on catering requirements, table plans, and other details of fine dining and boxes bookings.

Skills and experience you can bring
