Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site TIG Welder role based at Constant Group’s facility in Chadderton. The TIG Welder will perform precision welding on a variety of sheet metal components, working from technical drawings, job cards, and specifications to produce high-quality parts. - Setting up and operating TIG welding equipment
- Preparing and aligning materials
- Inspecting welds for quality and accuracy
- Completing rework where necessary

The role involves collaborating closely with fabrication, CNC, and finishing teams to ensure jobs progress smoothly through production, maintaining safety standards and housekeeping within the welding area. The TIG Welder is expected to meet production deadlines, follow quality procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong TIG welding skills on sheet metal, with experience in welding various materials (e.g., mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and job documentation accurately.
- Experience in fabrication tasks such as cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling metal components prior to welding.
- Knowledge of welding quality standards, inspection methods, and safe operation of welding and workshop equipment.
- Good understanding of manufacturing workflows and collaboration with CAD, CNC, and finishing teams.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to produce consistent, high-quality work to tight tolerances.
- Commitment to health and safety practices, including PPE use and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Previous experience in a sheet metal or precision manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
- Relevant welding qualifications or certifications (e.g., coded welding or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work full-time on-site in Chadderton.
