About The Role

A TIG Welder is required to join a well-established company in Ilton, Ilminster, Somerset, on a full-time, permanent basis. The position offers a salary between £32,000 and £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience. Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, finishing at 1:30 pm on Friday. The role involves welding and fabricating a variety of quality sheet metal products for different sectors. Working within a small team, the successful candidate will produce finished components, both as single items and in small batches, from engineering drawings. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work accurately from technical specifications are essential for this varied position.

Location: Ilton, Ilminster, TA19.

Schedule: 7.30 – 4.30 Monday to Thursday and 7.30 – 1.30 on Friday.

About The Company

Welding and fabrication a wide range of quality sheet metal products for a variety of sectors

Working as part of a small team, they now require an enthusiastic and skilled TIG welder/fabricator capable of working from engineering drawings. This interesting and varied role would require the successful applicant to produce finished components as both single items and in small batches.

Candidate Requirements

  • Good communication and team working skills.
  • The ability to work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Capable of working to drawing tolerances.
  • Be able to dress finished surfaces to a high standard.
  • Due to our line of work MIG welding will be required where necessary
  • Able to work using your own initiative.
