The Role
As a TIG / MMA Welder, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out welding operations to radiographic standards
- Conducting routine equipment inspections
- Following established welding procedures and safety regulations, including fume control requirements
- Identifying and reporting welding defects or potential issues
- Ensuring weld traceability and quality control through weld identification practices
- Completing all relevant quality documentation in line with project requirements
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance at all times
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will have:
- Proven experience welding to radiographic standards
- Experience welding a variety of materials, particularly:
- Carbon Steel
- Austenitic Stainless Steel
- Strong understanding of quality standards and welding procedures
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a highly regulated environment

Required Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or a related discipline
- Completed Welding Apprenticeship
- Equivalent recognised apprenticeship in a welding discipline
In addition, candidates must hold:
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
Weld Test Requirements
Candidates will be required to successfully complete practical weld tests to ISO 9606 standards, including:
- Carbon Steel Pipe Butt Weld (TIG)
- Stainless Steel Pipe Butt Weld (TIG)
- Multi-Pass Fillet Welds using MMA and TIG welding processes
- Structural and pipe welding assessments in relevant welding positions
