Location: Nottingham
Job Type: Permanent
Shifts: Day shifts and night shifts available
Salary: £14 - 17 ph. £21 per night on night shift.

An established precision engineering and sheet metal manufacturing company in Nottingham is looking for experienced TIG Welders to join its growing production team.
This is a permanent opportunity offering a choice of day or night shifts. The successful candidates will produce high-quality fabricated components while working from detailed engineering drawings and customer specifications. If you have aluminium welding skills, this would also be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • TIG weld a variety of precision sheet metal components.
  • Work predominantly with stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
  • Prepare materials and components before welding.
  • Produce clean, accurate welds to a consistently high standard.
  • Inspect completed work and identify any defects or quality issues.
  • Use fabrication equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures.
  • Work closely with fabrication, production, and quality teams.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience working as a TIG Welder or TIG Welder Fabricator.
  • Strong experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal.
  • Confident working with stainless steel and aluminium.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
  • Experience within a precision engineering, laser cutting, or sheet metal environment would be advantageous.
