Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Tig Welder/Fabricator role based in the Greater Northampton Area, United Kingdom. The role involves performing TIG welding on stainless steel and other metals to produce marine and consumer components to specification. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, fabricating assemblies, and finishing products to a high standard. The Tig Welder/Fabricator will set up welding equipment, carry out quality checks, and ensure all work complies with safety and manufacturing guidelines. The role also includes collaborating with production and engineering teams, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and meeting agreed production deadlines.

- Strong TIG welding skills with experience in stainless steel and other common fabrication metals.
- Demonstrated metal fabrication abilities, including cutting, forming, drilling, and assembling components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical diagrams, and measurements accurately.
- Solid understanding of workshop safety practices and safe use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precision work with consistent results.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to identify and correct defects or issues in fabricated parts.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively in a production environment.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in welding, fabrication, or a related discipline is beneficial.
- Previous experience in marine, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments is an advantage.
