Background
Academic Services, led by the Director of Academic Services is responsible for leading and delivering professional, responsive, and effective academic and student administration across City St George’s. Working closely to the strategic direction set by the Vice President for Education, Academic Services supports the educational mission of the University.

Responsibilities
The Timetabling Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining teaching timetables for an allocated portfolio of schools or programmes, ensuring accuracy, efficient room utilisation and compliance with university policies. The role acts as the main contact for timetable-related queries, works closely with academic and professional services staff, resolves scheduling conflicts, manages timetable changes, and monitors data quality. It also supports service improvements, contributes to team collaboration and training, and ensures a student-focused, responsive timetabling service throughout the academic year.
Person Specification
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent experience, with knowledge of administrative systems and data processing.
- Experience in a customer-focused administrative environment, with the ability to deliver a professional, responsive service.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, including prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Able to work independently, follow procedures consistently, and contribute positively to team performance.
