Role Description

This full-time, on-site Tipper Driver (Class 2) role is based in Pitstone and involves operating a Class 2 tipper truck to transport and deliver aggregates and other materials to various sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The driver is expected to work safely at all times, represent the company professionally, and support efficient site operations.

Qualifications

  • Strong truck driving skills, including safe operation of Class 2 tipper vehicles, with a clean driving record.
  • Valid commercial driving license (e.g., relevant UK LGV/Class 2 qualification comparable to CDL Class A standards) and familiarity with heavy truck regulations.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, site teams, and other road users.
  • Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients, site managers, and the public.
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and reporting of defects.
  • Ability to follow routes, schedules, and site instructions, with good time management and reliability.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices related to loading, tipping, and working on construction or industrial sites.
  • Prior experience in tipper or construction haulage driving is beneficial.
