Tissue Sales Specialist

Are you passionate about advancing cancer diagnostics and building strategic NHS partnerships that improve patient outcomes?

R&D Partners is seeking a Tissue Sales Specialist to join a leading pharmaceutical company on a 12-month contract. This role focuses on driving sales and supporting the adoption of innovative diagnostic solutions within Cellular Pathology and Cancer Pathways. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences, experience in pathology sales, and a proven ability to manage strategic accounts.

This is a hybrid role requiring travel across the West Midlands and Wales.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute account sales strategies to secure large-scale contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT specialists, managed service teams, and product specialists.
  • Drive sales of tissue diagnostics solutions by engaging with NHS pathology departments and other stakeholders.
  • Manage pathology procurements and tenders, ensuring alignment with client needs.
  • Utilize CRM and data analytics tools to enhance sales performance and overcome barriers to adoption.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • BSc degree in Life Sciences or equivalent experience (e.g., Biomedical Scientist background).
  • Solid understanding of Cellular Pathology and Cancer Pathways.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Direct hands-on experience in a Cellular Pathology Laboratory.
  • Familiarity with tissue diagnostics portfolios or competitor products.
  • Experience managing sales territories within the West Midlands or Wales.
  • Proven track record in pathology procurements and tenders within the NHS.
  • Expertise in using digital sales engagement tools such as CRM or data analytics.
  • Prior experience with tissue diagnostics platforms and solutions.
