The overall purpose of this job is to be the key role of validating, inputting, reporting and monitoring for responses to Permitry that must be maintained daily, by liaising with appropriate road authorities, councils and other affected parties to ensure safe and efficient delivery of works, and to gain approval of works as required under statute.
We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission. Here’s how you will contribute…
- Liaising with local authorities on projects affecting the road network, attending coordination meetings providing updates and future project plans
- Identifying projects requiring lane rental and PR, assisting Project Managers and liaising with corporate communications department as required
- Monitoring of project progress, attending planning meetings and Contract liaison/monitoring/preparation of orders and compliance with SGN procedures
- Provide updates on risk reduction progress, PEPSI (internal reporting) and project deferrals
- MI and management of defects and NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) permits

What you will need
- Ability to provide excellent levels of customer service
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing and have ability to manage any potential conflict relating to contractors/third parties
- Competent in Microsoft Office
