Customer Service Advisor – AMC RAF Croughton
Location: RAF Croughton
Salary: Competitive plus benefits
Schedule: Perm/FT/39 hours per week
About the Role
As a Customer Service Advisor within our AMC RAF Croughton team, you’ll play a key role in supporting military personnel and their families with the movement of personal property and travel arrangements around the world. Your work will help ensure services are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on customer care.
From coordinating household moves and travel documentation to carrying out inspections and liaising with transportation providers, you’ll help deliver essential services that support operational readiness and the wellbeing of the military community. This is a varied role where your organisation, attention to detail, and customer service skills will make a positive impact every day.
Responsibilities
- Support the Traffic Management Office (TMO) Supervisor with all Traffic Management Office activities relating to the contract.
- Plan and coordinate outbound and inbound personal property moves to worldwide locations.
- Prepare shipment applications, counselling forms, customs documentation, and travel documents.
- Advise personnel and eligible dependants on personal property movements, customs requirements, and transportation entitlements.
- Arrange vehicle shipments and provide guidance on preparation requirements before transport.
- Use internal systems to schedule outbound collections and inbound deliveries.
- Carry out agricultural inspections and quality assurance inspections to ensure compliance with service requirements.
- Liaise with third-party carriers and support cargo movements where required.
- Maintain accurate passenger travel files and process pay adjustment forms when necessary.
- Provide after-hours emergency travel support and assist with additional contract requirements as required.

Requirements
- Hold a full, clean driving licence.
- Hold or be able to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong administrative, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Be confident using computer systems and learning new technologies.

Vetting and Checks
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
