Tony Sellen is a self-taught, award-winning photographer. He is passionate about fine art, long exposure images and, based in London, the City is where Tony finds most of his inspiration.

Various awards including Fujiholics black and white photographer of the year and EISA photographer of the year.

SPEED OF LIGHT | View on OpenSea
Sometimes life feels like its moving too fast, even more so in the NFT world. Speed of Light is a collection of images created to show the speeds that we are currently travelling. All taken from the front, or back of metro trains weaving their way through underground networks. Using slow shutter speeds, the movement of the train is captured creating a real sense of speed. Shooting from a moving train into a dark tunnel comes with its challenges, yet artist Tony Sellen raised to the challenge. Years of experience and knowing what camera settings to use helped him create this collection of clean artworks. As an architectural photographer and also having a degree in railway engineering, Tony knew what he was looking for to create the perfect images.

WHITE LINES | View on OpenSea
White Lines is a collection of street photographs taken in one special place in London. When the sun is low and setting in the west the light shines through five tall vertical windows, creating some beautiful shadows. As people walk through the shadows and into the light I can see the art forming in front of me. A street photograph takes a moment to capture but the wait for that right moment may be hours.
My street photography always has a big geometric aspect with strong compositions and use of the surrounding environment. The lines and shapes along with the beautiful strong contrast in White Lines, represent my urban geometric approach to street photography.
This collection has taken years for me to create. Many wasted visits due to the conditions not being what I want, lots of hours spent waiting for the right moments to happen and so much time spent processing the images, getting that perfect look.

Tony’s work is a true master of monochrome photography.
Especially his architectural work is particularly outstanding and at the highest level.
