iSQ Recruitment are supporting an established manufacturing business with their search for a Tool Change Technician to join their ISBM manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, mechanically minded individual to join a growing operation with significant investment in new machinery and production capacity.
Whilst direct ISBM experience is preferred, candidates with relevant mechanical, engineering, manufacturing or industrial backgrounds may be considered.
Please note this client does not offer Visa sponsorship. Only candidates with full Right to Work in the UK and relevant experience will be considered. Due to the location, applicants must also have a full UK driving license and own vehicle.

The Role - Tool Change Technician
Working as part of a small Tool Change team, you'll carry out planned tooling changeovers and prepare machinery for production, ensuring equipment and finished products meet the required standards.
The role is physically demanding and involves handling moulds weighing up to approximately 500kg, as well as working in what can be a noisy manufacturing environment (full PPE provided).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned tooling changeovers, including removal and installation of tooling.
- Clean machinery and set downstream equipment following tool changes.
- Carry out material changes and support production start-ups.
- Ensure finished products meet quality, order, BOM, packing and colour requirements.
- Carry out tool maintenance during quieter periods.
- Work closely with Technicians and Engineers to resolve issues and maximise productivity.
- Follow Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and company safety procedures.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in line with the 6S system.
- Complete daily safety checks and report hazards or problems.
- Support the wider production team when required.

About You
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical hands-on capability.
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Comfortable with physically demanding work and heavy tooling.
- Good understanding of industrial safety procedures.
- Able to follow Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, safety-conscious and willing to learn.
Experience with heavy tooling, overhead gantry cranes, electric stackers/lifters or polymer processing would be advantageous.
