Preci-Spark is seeking experienced and qualified Toolmakers to join our existing team, with positions available at both our Coalville and Loughborough facilities.
The role will primarily involve manufacturing, assembling, modifying, repairing and maintaining precision tooling within a high-precision engineering environment. The ideal candidate will have strong practical engineering skills, experience working from detailed engineering drawings and the ability to manufacture components and tooling to close tolerances.

Positions available at both our Coalville and Loughborough facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, assemble and prove precision press tools, jigs, fixtures and production tooling.
- Repair, modify and maintain existing tooling.
- Work accurately from engineering drawings and CAD information.
- Use conventional milling, turning, surface grinding and fitting techniques.
- Produce components to close tolerances and required specifications.
- Diagnose tooling problems and implement practical engineering improvements.
- Support Production teams with tooling-related issues.
- Inspect completed work using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing colleagues.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Follow company procedures relating to quality, Health, Safety and Environment compliance.
Requirements for the position of Qualified Toolmaker:
- Recognised Toolmaking or Engineering apprenticeship.
- Substantial experience working as a Toolmaker within a precision-engineering environment.
- Strong manual machining, grinding, fitting and bench-working skills.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience manufacturing and maintaining press tools, jigs, fixtures or similar precision tooling.
- Good understanding of engineering tolerances, fits and precision measurement.
- Experience using conventional milling, turning and grinding machinery.
- Strong practical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work to procedures and meet production requirements.
- Health, Safety and Environment compliance.

Experience within aerospace, automotive, motorsport or another tightly controlled precision-manufacturing sector would be advantageous.
