- Passionate adjuster who cares about the customer and their experience.
- Empathetic. You exercise empathy and patience towards everyone you interact with.

What you'll do
- Managing Total Loss Claims: Assess and process motor insurance claims where vehicles are deemed beyond economical repair. This involves evaluating damage, determining repair costs, liaising with motor engineers, and negotiating settlements with third-party insurers.
- Overseeing Recovery Processes: Identify and quantify losses such as vehicle repairs, replacement vehicle expenses, recovery, storage, and loss of earnings. Proactively pursue recoveries from third parties, insurers, or agents to recoup costs incurred by customers.
- Investigating Liability Disputes: Gather relevant information, including reviewing documentation, conducting interviews, and evaluating policy terms to determine indemnity.
- Communicating with Stakeholders: Serve as the main point of contact for policyholders, providing advice on the claims process, offering regular updates, and ensuring a seamless customer journey throughout the lifecycle of the claim.
- Negotiating Settlements: Engage in effective negotiations with third-party insurers and agents to ensure favorable settlements, maximizing recovery prospects and minimizing claim life-cycles.
- Maintaining Accurate Records: Keep detailed records of all recovery efforts and related documentation, including emails, calls, offers discussed, and payments agreed or received.
- Ensuring Compliance: Adhere to legal requirements, industry regulations, and customer quality standards set by the company, ensuring fair settlement of valid claims and excellent customer service.
- Attention to detail and the ability to provide quality interactions with stakeholders, clients, and customers to the high standards required by our business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
