Total Rewards & HR Generalist (UK & Europe)

Location: Newport, Wales (Hybrid)

Are you an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on operational support? Do you have experience in compensation and benefits, employee relations, and partnering with leaders to drive employee engagement and business success?

We are seeking a Total Rewards & HR Generalist to act as the primary HR partner for our UK operations while supporting employees across Europe, including our Netherlands office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global organisation and play a key role in shaping the employee experience, supporting business growth, and ensuring best-in-class HR practices across the region.


What You'll Be Doing

Total Rewards

  • Administer compensation and benefits programs within the UK and support Total Rewards initiatives across Europe.
  • Partner with Global Total Rewards teams on salary benchmarking, market analysis, compensation planning, and incentive programs.
  • Coordinate annual compensation reviews, merit increases, promotions, and bonus administration.
  • Support benefits renewals, employee communications, and enrolment activities.
  • Ensure compensation and benefits practices comply with UK and applicable European regulations.
  • Prepare and analyse compensation, workforce, and HR metrics for regional and global leadership.

Human Resources

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers in the UK while supporting colleagues across Europe.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, coaching, disciplinary matters, and talent development.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Manage the full employee life cycle, including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Coordinate performance review processes and support talent development initiatives.
  • Lead employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building activities across the European region.
  • Partner with leadership to implement global HR initiatives and organisational priorities.

Compliance & Global Collaboration

  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and support HR compliance across European locations.
  • Maintain employment contracts, HR documentation, and personnel records.
  • Assist with audits, reporting requirements, policy implementation, and health & safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders in the UK, Netherlands, North America, and Asia.
  • Participate in global HR projects and help standardise HR processes while respecting local legal and cultural requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven HR Generalist experience with exposure to compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Experience supporting managers and employees across multiple HR disciplines.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global team.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms and HR reporting tools.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting employees across multiple European countries.
  • Familiarity with Dutch employment practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or supply chain environments.
  • Experience working in a global organisation across multiple time zones.
  • Professional HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent) is an advantage.
