The Colleague Experience Group (CEG)

The Colleague Experience Group (CEG)—Amex’s Human Resources function—is responsible for all colleague-related benefits and programs globally, including career growth and development, leadership and learning, total rewards and well-being, recruitment, labor relations, colleague servicing, and more. CEG’s vision is to provide the best colleague experience every day to fuel growth, and they are committed to ensuring all of Team Amex has the resources and support they need to be and deliver their best.

Our Colleague Experience Group (CEG) is the heartbeat of our collaborative, caring, and customer-focused workplace culture. Within Colleague Services, the Colleague Product Management team leads the strategy, development, and delivery of digital products that power the colleague's experience across the enterprise.

The Role

The Product Associate – Compensation, Payroll & Benefits will support the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of a global portfolio of technology capabilities spanning Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Absence Management, and Total Rewards.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Support in translating product strategy and roadmap priorities into detailed business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable delivery plans.
  • Analyze Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Absence Management, and Total Rewards processes, product data, and colleague feedback to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for simplification and improvement.
  • Maintain product backlogs, requirements, process documentation, and other product artifacts to support effective prioritization and delivery.
  • Support product releases, enhancements, implementations, upgrades, and integrations across Oracle HCM and related platforms.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support backlog refinement, sprint planning, issue resolution, and delivery tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Support product capabilities across Oracle HCM and integrated payroll, benefits administration, and third-party SaaS platforms.
  • Support product controls, governance, data quality, and documentation requirements across Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits platforms.
  • Build effective partnerships across Product Management, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Technology, Finance, Risk Management, Servicing, and other stakeholder groups.
  • Help drive alignment across business and technology partners to support successful product delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience gathering requirements, developing user stories and acceptance criteria, performing process analysis, supporting testing, and maintaining product documentation.
  • Experience supporting product management, product ownership, business analysis, or enterprise technology delivery.
  • Knowledge of Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, HR Operations, Total Rewards, or related HR processes.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery practices and tools such as Jira, with strong organizational and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Collaborative, curious, and comfortable working in a complex, matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle HCM Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Absence Management, Core HR, or related Total Rewards capabilities.
  • Experience working with payroll providers, benefits administrators, or other third-party HR SaaS platforms and integrations.
  • Experience supporting HR technology modernization, platform implementations, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
