Total Rewards Operations Specialist

Are you ready to kick off a career in HR and Total Rewards Operations? Rapid7 is seeking an enthusiastic Total Rewards Operations Specialist to support our global benefits administration and Total Rewards execution. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience driving operational excellence while serving as a trusted point of contact for employee inquiries.

About the Role

As a Total Rewards Operations Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to support the daily administration and execution of Rapid7's Total Rewards and benefits programs. Specifically, your focus will be to:

  • Co-facilitate standard Benefits 101 orientation sessions and execute routine onboarding activities for new hires using established materials.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for routine employee Total Rewards inquiries and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
  • Execute day-to-day administrative tasks for US and international health, welfare, and retirement plans, including basic data entry and vendor file transmissions.
  • Document operational processes and assist in identifying AI tools to automate repeatable tasks and improve response times.
  • Distribute Total Rewards educational materials and employee communications according to established schedules.
  • Provide administrative and data support during Open Enrollment, wellness events, leave intake, and annual program rollouts.
  • Track vendor invoices, draft purchase requisitions, and maintain expenditure records following finance procedures.
  • Perform basic data checks and routine compliance tracking activities to support standard reporting requests.

The skills and qualities you'll bring include:

  • Bring foundational knowledge or experience in HR Operations, People Strategy, or Total Rewards concepts (Bachelor’s degree or 0–2 years equivalent experience).
  • Communicate in a clear manner that conveys objectives and rationale when responding to employee inquiries and distributing communications.
  • Demonstrate accountability by establishing ownership over assigned administrative tasks, timelines, and confidentiality standards.
  • Exhibit strong self-awareness to adapt to team dynamics, ask questions when navigating ambiguity, and continuously learn new corporate systems.
  • Demonstrate exploratory experience or interest in using AI tools to drive process automation and task efficiency.
  • Apply meticulous attention to detail to execute structured work assignments, manage data entry checks, and spot discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate comfortable navigation of fast-paced corporate environments with a flexible, adaptable mindset.
  • Bring proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), MS Excel, or exposure to HRIS platforms like Workday.
