Crafted Routes welcomes visitors seeing London for the first time and locals seeking fresh perspectives, creating journeys that highlight culture, history, and authentic experiences.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Tour Guide role based in London, United Kingdom. The Tour Guide will lead walking tours and day trips, providing clear, engaging commentary on landmarks, neighborhoods, and points of interest.

  • Managing group dynamics
  • Answering questions with patience and professionalism
  • Sharing historical and cultural information
  • Adapting tours to group needs
  • Promoting additional experiences or services when appropriate
  • Coordinating with operations staff
  • Handling basic tour administration
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service

Qualifications

  • Ability to conduct Guided Tours, including leading groups, managing itineraries, and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience.
  • Strong Communication skills, with clear spoken English and the ability to present information confidently to diverse audiences.
  • Customer Service skills, including empathy, patience, and the ability to respond effectively to guest feedback and requests.
  • Knowledge of History, especially London and UK cultural, historical, and architectural topics, with an interest in ongoing learning.
  • Basic Sales skills, with the ability to promote tours, upgrades, and related services in a respectful, guest-focused manner.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to keep tours on schedule and well-coordinated.
  • Comfort with walking for extended periods and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Previous experience in guiding, hospitality, or tourism is beneficial; multilingual abilities are a plus (Spanish, French, German).
