What makes this a great opportunity?
As a Visitor Experience & Events Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional visitor experiences at the Sipsmith Distillery and representing the brand at external events. You will be responsible for hosting engaging tours and experiences, maintaining our Visitor Centre, supporting the delivery of events, and ensuring every guest receives a premium experience that reflects the Sipsmith brand.
Working closely with the Experiences Team, you will take ownership of day-to-day visitor operations while providing operational support across our growing programme of experiences and brand activations.
You'll be joining a passionate and ambitious team responsible for delivering one of London's leading distillery visitor experiences. As our experiences programme continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills across hospitality, events, brand experience and customer engagement while playing a key role in shaping memorable experiences for thousands of visitors each year.
Role Responsibilities
Visitor Experiences
- Lead and deliver distillery tours, cocktail masterclasses and Sipper Club experiences to the highest standard.
- Create engaging, memorable and informative experiences for all visitors.
- Adapt experiences to suit different audience types, including consumer, trade and corporate groups.
- Ensure all experiences are delivered safely, professionally and on schedule.

Visitor Centre Operations
- Maintain the presentation, cleanliness and organisation of the Visitor Centre and Gin Shop.
- Manage stock levels and merchandising within the retail space.
- Assist visitors with purchases and product recommendations.
- Ensure the Visitor Centre consistently reflects Sipsmith's premium brand standards.
Brand Ambassador
- Represent Sipsmith with enthusiasm, professionalism and expert product knowledge.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards at every touchpoint.
- Uphold brand guidelines and ensure all guest-facing environments are presented to the highest standard.
- Act as a knowledgeable advocate for Sipsmith, our products and our history.
Events & Activations
- Support the delivery of external events, markets, tastings and brand activations.
- Lead operational delivery at smaller events under the guidance of the Experiences leadership team.
- Supervise agency staff and ensure activities are delivered safely and professionally.
- Assist with event setup, breakdown and logistical coordination.
- Represent Sipsmith confidently at external venues and partner events.
Operational Support
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment for events and experiences.
- Support transport and event logistics where required.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, stored and prepared for future events.
- Support the wider Experiences Team during busy operational periods.
Teamwork
- Report directly to the Tour Executive and Event Executive.
- Work collaboratively across the Experiences Team to deliver exceptional visitor experiences.
- Provide support across both visitor experiences and event operations as business needs require.
- Contribute ideas to improve visitor experiences and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for hospitality and customer experience.
- Confident speaking to groups of varying sizes.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to evening and weekend working.
- Full UK driving licence (preferred if event driving is required).
- Ability to lift and move event equipment safely.
Desirable Experience
- Experience delivering tours, tastings or confident public speaking.
- Experience working at live events or brand activations.
- Previous supervisory experience.

- Maintain an exceptional Visitor Centre environment.
- Confidently represent Sipsmith at internal and external events.
- Support the efficient delivery of the Experiences programme.
- Work proactively with the Experiences Team to maintain operational excellence.
- Demonstrate ownership, initiative and pride in every aspect of the visitor journey.
