Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Tourism Business Development Executive to support business growth, partnership development, and sales initiatives within the travel and tourism sector. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build relationships with tourism partners and clients, support sales activities, and contribute to strategies that increase revenue and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research new business opportunities within the travel and tourism market.
- Develop and maintain relationships with tourism businesses, clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Support business development and sales strategies to achieve growth objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, tourism trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Assist with preparing business proposals, presentations, quotations, and partnership materials.
- Communicate with potential clients and partners through email, phone, online meetings, and other channels.
- Support the development of strategic partnerships and collaborative tourism initiatives.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, and business development activities.
- Follow up with prospective clients and partnership opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity and market developments.
- Prepare business development reports and performance updates.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, operations, and tourism teams.
- Assist with industry events, networking activities, exhibitions, and promotional initiatives.

Requirements
- Interest in tourism, travel, business development, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Good research and analytical abilities.
- Confident communicating with clients and business partners.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office or similar tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous business development, sales, travel, tourism, or customer-facing experience is beneficial but not essential.

Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the UK travel and tourism industry.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales pipelines.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with B2B sales and partnership development.
- Experience working with travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, attractions, airlines, or tourism organisations.
- Understanding of digital marketing and lead-generation activities is advantageous.
