Tourism Coordinator

Location: United Kingdom

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Job Overview

We are seeking an organised and proactive Tourism Coordinator to support tourism programmes, destination activities, promotional campaigns, events, and day-to-day coordination within the travel and tourism sector. The successful candidate will work with internal teams, tourism businesses, travel partners, and other stakeholders to help deliver projects that improve visitor engagement and support tourism growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day tourism projects, programmes, and promotional activities.
  • Assist with planning and delivering tourism campaigns and destination initiatives.
  • Research destinations, tourism trends, visitor preferences, and industry developments.
  • Coordinate with hotels, attractions, tour operators, travel agencies, and tourism partners.
  • Support the organisation of tourism events, exhibitions, workshops, and promotional activities.
  • Assist with creating and updating tourism-related content and promotional materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of tourism projects, partners, schedules, and activities.
  • Respond to enquiries from visitors, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparing reports, presentations, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Support social media, email marketing, and other promotional activities where required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve visitor experiences and destination promotion.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the tourism team.

Requirements

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel, Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good computer and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Genuine interest in travel, tourism, and destination development.
  • Previous tourism, hospitality, marketing, or administrative experience is beneficial but not essential.
