Job Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused and technically minded Tourism Helpdesk to provide support to customers, tourism businesses, travel partners, and internal teams.

The successful candidate will assist with tourism and travel-related systems, platforms, bookings, account enquiries, and technical issues while ensuring support requests are handled efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for tourism, travel, booking, and customer service systems.
  • Respond to enquiries through email, phone, live chat, or helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Assist users with booking, reservation, account, and platform-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical and system problems.
  • Investigate support requests and escalate complex issues when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of helpdesk tickets, enquiries, and resolutions.
  • Assist users with account access, password resets, and system navigation.
  • Monitor open support requests and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Provide clear guidance on tourism and travel-related platforms and processes.
  • Liaise with hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, attractions, suppliers, and other partners when required.
  • Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to improve support processes.
  • Prepare basic reports on helpdesk activity, response times, and common enquiries.

Requirements

  • Interest in tourism, travel, customer service, IT, or business operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Comfortable working with computers, online platforms, and software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple support requests efficiently.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous helpdesk, travel, tourism, customer service, or technical support experience is beneficial but not essential.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with travel booking, reservation, or tourism management systems.
  • Basic understanding of IT support and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CRM, ticketing, or helpdesk platforms.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with hotel, airline, travel agency, tour operator, or tourism systems.
  • Experience providing customer support through email, phone, or live chat is advantageous.
