Tourism Marketing Coordinator

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Job Overview
We are looking for an organised and creative Tourism Marketing Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of marketing activities within the tourism and travel sector. The successful candidate will help coordinate promotional campaigns, digital content, social media activities, partnerships, and marketing projects aimed at increasing awareness, engagement, and visitor interest in tourism products and destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day tourism marketing activities and promotional campaigns.
- Assist with the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns.
- Create, organise, and update content for websites, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Support social media management, content scheduling, and audience engagement.
- Conduct market research on tourism trends, visitor behaviour, and competitor activity.
- Assist with the development of promotional materials for destinations, attractions, events, and travel experiences.
- Coordinate with tourism businesses, travel partners, suppliers, media contacts, and other stakeholders.
- Track campaign performance and prepare regular marketing reports.
- Assist with email marketing, online promotions, and advertising campaigns.
- Maintain accurate tourism-related information across websites and digital platforms.
- Help organise tourism events, exhibitions, promotional activities, and industry initiatives.
- Support the marketing team with administrative and coordination tasks.
- Contribute ideas for new campaigns and ways to increase visitor engagement.

Requirements
- Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and coordination abilities.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing and social media.
- Creative approach to content and promotional activities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good research and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interest in tourism, travel, marketing, and destination development.
- Previous experience in tourism or marketing is advantageous but not essential for entry-level candidates.

Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, email marketing, and digital advertising.
- Experience using Canva or other content creation tools.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar marketing platforms.
- Understanding of tourism marketing and destination promotion.
- Experience coordinating marketing projects or events is advantageous.
