We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and results-driven Tourism Marketing Manager to lead the planning, development, and execution of marketing initiatives across the travel and tourism sector.
This role is ideal for an experienced marketing professional who is passionate about tourism, destination marketing, digital marketing, brand development, partnerships, and customer engagement, and who can turn tourism strategies into measurable campaigns and commercial results.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive tourism and destination marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, content, PR, partnerships, and traditional channels
- Develop and manage annual and seasonal tourism marketing plans, budgets, timelines, and campaign calendars
- Promote destinations, tourism experiences, attractions, events, accommodation, tours, and travel products
- Lead destination branding, positioning, messaging, and promotional initiatives
- Manage content strategies across websites, social media, blogs, newsletters, destination guides, video, and other marketing channels
- Oversee paid and organic campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms
- Lead SEO, content marketing, email marketing, social media, and digital acquisition initiatives
- Develop strategic relationships with tourism boards, travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, airlines, attractions, media organisations, influencers, and commercial partners
- Identify and develop co-marketing, partnership, sponsorship, affiliate, and promotional opportunities
- Manage external agencies, freelancers, content creators, designers, PR partners, and other marketing suppliers where required
- Conduct market research and analyse tourism trends, customer behaviour, competitor activity, and destination performance
- Monitor campaign performance, website traffic, engagement, leads, enquiries, bookings, revenue, and return on investment
- Prepare regular marketing performance reports and present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Use customer and marketing data to optimise campaigns, improve conversion, and identify new growth opportunities
- Oversee the development of photography, video, brochures, destination guides, presentations, and other marketing assets
- Support tourism trade events, exhibitions, industry conferences, destination showcases, and promotional activities
- Ensure all marketing activity maintains consistent brand standards and effectively communicates the destination or tourism proposition
- Stay up to date with emerging tourism trends, digital marketing developments, technology, and changing consumer behaviour

👥 Team & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate and provide direction to marketing executives, coordinators, content creators, and other team members
- Set campaign priorities, objectives, deadlines, and performance expectations
- Collaborate closely with sales, product, operations, partnerships, and senior management teams
- Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide guidance, feedback, mentoring, and professional development support to junior marketing team members
✅ Requirements
- 2–5+ years of relevant experience in tourism, travel, hospitality, destination marketing, digital marketing, or a related field
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Marketing, Tourism, Travel, Hospitality, Business, Communications, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of tourism marketing, destination marketing, digital marketing, and consumer behaviour
- Proven experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, brand development, and content strategy skills
- Experience managing social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Strong understanding of SEO, paid advertising, email marketing, analytics, and digital acquisition
- Experience using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Canva, CRM platforms, or similar tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing data and turn insights into actionable strategies
- Excellent project management, organisational, and budget management skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Commercial mindset with a focus on measurable results and return on investment
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns, projects, partners, and deadlines
- Experience managing or mentoring junior team members is an advantage
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Based in the United Kingdom with the legal right to work in the UK
