Towbar & Service Technician

Milngavie, Glasgow

High Level Spec

  • Competitive salary.
  • Monthly bonus scheme.
  • 33 days annual leave including Bank Holidays.
  • Basic hours 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (37½ hours) per week.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Undertake daily duties as designated by the Branch Team and Workshop diary.
  • Fit towbars to Customer vehicles.
  • Service and repair Customer trailers.
  • Service and repair the Company’s fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule.
  • Maintain and update full records of each trailer in the Company hire fleet for servicing purposes.
  • Ensure all towbar fits and trailer services/repairs are completed in an acceptable timeframe and quality.
  • Keep up to date with any changes to suppliers’ towbar fitting instructions including wiring via the Branch Network and use of the internet/intranet.
  • Assemble and modify trailers as required.
  • Ascertain faults and provide technical advice as required.
  • Be fully conversant with all Company systems/procedures.
  • Hold a current, valid UK driving licence.
