Multiple Locations Across the UK
Select Plant Hire is looking for experienced Tower Crane Operators to join our teams on major infrastructure and construction projects across the UK.
As part of our directly employed workforce, you'll play a vital role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of complex construction projects whilst benefiting from excellent training, development and long-term career opportunities.

Key Duties
- Operate tower cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with lifting plans, site procedures and manufacturer instructions.
- Carry out pre-use checks and routine inspections of crane equipment.
- Lift, move and position loads safely and accurately as directed by authorised personnel.
- Maintain effective communication with Slinger Signallers, Appointed Persons and site management.
- Ensure all lifting operations are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation and company procedures.
- Report defects, incidents and safety concerns promptly.
- Complete daily records and operational documentation as required.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety around the crane and work area.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience operating tower cranes on construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting operations and lifting plans.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project requirements.
- Reliable, responsible and safety focused.
- Willingness to support continuous improvement and development initiatives.

- CPCS Tower Crane Operator Card (Blue)
- Valid Medical Certificate (where applicable)
Desirable Qualifications
- CPCS Slinger Signaller
- CPCS Crane Supervisor
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects
