The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Town Planner to join an established and respected planning consultancy based in Kent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planner looking to develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of planning projects and working closely with clients, developers, and local planning authorities.

Requirements
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Previous experience within a planning consultancy or local authority
- Good understanding of the UK planning system and relevant planning policy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
- Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
- Ideally working towards or interested in achieving MRTPI status
- Full UK driving licence would be advantageous
Responsibilities

- Preparing and submitting planning applications
- Providing planning advice to clients
- Undertaking planning appraisals and research
- Assisting with planning strategies and development proposals
- Liaising with local planning authorities and other stakeholders
- Supporting senior planners on larger and more complex projects
- Monitoring planning applications and providing clients with regular updates
- Assisting with appeals and other planning matters where required
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
