Planner / Senior Planner Exeter Black Box Planning

Location: Exeter

Salary: GBP35,000/GBP40,000

Penguin Recruitment are working with Black Box Planning, a growing specialist planning consultancy, who are looking to expand their team in Exeter. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic, people-focused consultancy where you'll work across a diverse range of projects and have the opportunity to develop your career alongside an experienced team.

The Role

  • Delivering planning advice across a varied project portfolio
  • Preparing planning applications, appraisals and planning strategy reports
  • Supporting strategic-scale development projects
  • Managing projects and working with multidisciplinary consultant teams
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Providing clear, evidence-led planning advice
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the Exeter office

Requirements

  • Experience working within town planning, ideally in consultancy
  • Strong understanding of the planning process
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically and commercially
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • For Senior/Associate level, 5+ years planning experience and solid EIA expertise are key requirements
  • RTPI membership/chartership is desirable depending on level
