Chartered Town Planner in or near London?

As a Planner (or Senior Planner), you could accelerate your town planning career by playing a key role within a well-established dynamic SME planning practice.

Our client is located in London and is currently consulting on a healthy and highly diverse portfolio of major projects nationally, from residential schemes to hotels, industrial and logistics, retail and urban regeneration schemes.

They have a highly experienced and successful team of work-winning Planning Directors for you to learn from, so you will not be twiddling your thumbs! A luxury in this market...

With their team, you could take greater ownership of the projects you are consulting on, learn the wider planning process and start to develop your very own client base to progress your career.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing major projects and overseeing smaller development management processes, and assisting senior colleagues on more major developments.
  • Cultivating and maintaining client relationships by offering precise advice and effective communication on a regular basis.
  • Managing pre-application tasks and guiding planning applications through the development cycle.
  • Writing representations to local authorities for potential site promotions.

Ideally, you should possess:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional planning experience within consultancy, developer or local planning authority (LPA).
  • A strong skill set and expertise in development management.
  • MRTPI
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
