We are working with a well-established and ambitious residential developer with a growing presence across Cambridgeshire and the wider East of England. The business is looking to appoint a Town Planning Manager / Senior Town Planning Manager to join its planning team and play a key role in shaping and delivering a high-quality residential development pipeline.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional who wants to move beyond purely advisory work and have genuine influence over the acquisition, planning, promotion, and delivery of residential development projects.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for managing planning strategy across a portfolio of residential sites, from early-stage land opportunities through to the delivery of consented schemes.

You will work closely with the land, development, technical, and commercial teams, providing strategic planning advice and identifying opportunities to maximize the value and deliverability of the company's land portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading planning strategies for a range of residential development sites across Cambridgeshire and the wider region.
  • Managing planning applications, appeals, pre-application discussions, and planning negotiations.
  • Advising the land and development teams on planning opportunities, risks, and constraints.
  • Supporting the identification and assessment of new land opportunities.
  • Managing external planning consultants.
