Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About the Role

The Traceability Lead is responsible for leading the Traceability function supporting landing gear and hydraulic overhaul, test and re-certification programmes. You'll provide day-to-day leadership to the Traceability Operators, ensuring Back-to-Birth (BTB) reviews and associated delivery documentation are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with customer, regulatory and business requirements.

As a working lead, the position combines people leadership, technical expertise and continuous improvement. You'll remain hands-on, supporting complex or urgent BTB reviews when required, removing blockers and helping the team achieve improved turnaround times.

As Traceability Lead, you'll work with Operations, Commercial and Customer-facing teams to identify opportunities where unscheduled, non-standard or ad-hoc BTB review activities can be appropriately recognised and charged as additional services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support and develop a team of Traceability Operators, providing day-to-day direction, workload prioritisation, coaching and technical guidance
  • Manage the allocation and prioritisation of BTB reviews to support programmes and meet agreed programme and customer requirements
  • Remain hands-on within the Traceability activity, supporting the team with complex, urgent or high-priority reviews to maintain workflow and improve turnaround time
  • Drive continuous improvement across the Traceability function, identifying opportunities to simplify activities, eliminate non-value-added work and improve overall efficiency
  • Lead initiatives to reduce SPT for BTB review activities, using data and root-cause analysis to understand performance and implement sustainable improvements
  • Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), standard work and supporting documentation to ensure consistent and efficient execution of Traceability activities
  • Review existing processes and workflows, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improved ways of working
