Tractor Mechanic Apprentice
As a Tractor Mechanic Apprentice, you will work with experienced mechanics, learning to inspect, service, maintain, and repair tractors and agricultural machinery. You will gain hands-on experience while studying for a recognised apprenticeship. Ideal for someone interested in agriculture, engineering, practical work, and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Working within an existing team of mechanics in our purpose-built workshop.
- Ensuring machinery is safe and fit for purpose by carrying out routine checks and the required repairs as needed.
- Assisting with servicing, maintenance, and repairs of tractors and agricultural machinery.
- Learning to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Preparing machinery for seasonal operations.
- Using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
- Attending college or apprenticeship training as required.
- Completing apprenticeship coursework and assessments.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
