Job Description
This is a field-based Genuine Trade Parts business development and consultancy role supporting a network of premium automotive retailers representing a globally recognised premium vehicle manufacturer.
Success in this role is centred on leveraging business insight and performance analysis to identify trends, uncover growth opportunities, and shape strategic action plans that enable retailers to increase their direct sales and improve commercial performance.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Analyse retailer performance, identify opportunities and risks, and provide data-driven recommendations to support genuine parts sales growth.
- Provide root cause analysis and practical solutions to business challenges and performance gaps.
- Develop strategic growth plans and support retailers in delivering measurable performance improvements.
- Track and communicate the commercial impact of recommendations and improvement initiatives.
- Build credibility and influence decision-making at all levels of retailer management.
- Work closely with Heads of Business, Parts Managers, Parts Advisors, Business Development Managers and other key retailer and manufacturer stakeholders.
- Interpret and present complex business data in a clear, concise and actionable manner.
- Deliver professional presentations, business reviews and performance updates to retailer management teams and senior stakeholders.
- Represent the programme professionally when engaging with retailer leadership teams and manufacturer stakeholders.
- Travel extensively throughout the region, including regular overnight stays.

What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will be measured through:
- Genuine parts sales growth across the retailer network.
- Improved retailer programme compliance and engagement.
- Delivery of agreed business improvement plans.
- Increased influenced trade sales performance.
- Positive stakeholder feedback from retailers and manufacturer partners.
Qualifications
We welcome applications from experienced automotive professionals including:
- Current or former Parts Managers seeking progression into a regional consultancy role.
- Regional or Area Managers with experience of business performance improvement with a knowledge of the Trade Parts industry.
- Automotive aftermarket professionals with strong commercial and analytical capability.
- Trade Parts Business Development Managers who can demonstrate a proven ability beyond sales generation, including strategic planning, performance analysis and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Candidates from outside the automotive sector who can demonstrate exceptional business acumen, analytical capability and stakeholder management experience.
Essential Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong analytical ability, including experience interpreting business performance data and identifying growth opportunities.
- Competency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
- The ability to create, present and communicate business insights, recommendations and strategic plans.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence outcomes.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how actions translate into measurable business results.
- Professional presentation and communication skills suitable for engagement with senior retailer management and manufacturer stakeholders.
- A structured and strategic approach to problem-solving and continuous business improvement.

This is an outstanding opportunity to move from operational management into a regional consultancy position, working with senior retailer stakeholders to influence commercial performance across multiple businesses. Working pattern and location
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday – Friday.
