OWN THE TERRITORY. WIN THE SPACE. UNLEASH THE BEAST.
Can you walk into an independent retailer, start a conversation and walk back out having won more space? Do you have the energy to build a territory street by street, store by store and shelf by shelf? Want to represent one of the most recognisable and disruptive brands in the world?
The Advocate Group
The Advocate Group is proud to be the exclusive talent partner for Monster Energy, supporting the continued growth of its GB field sales team.
About Monster Energy
For more than 20 years, Monster has been disrupting the beverage industry. Today, the Monster family spans 6,000+ people across 70+ countries, 17 energy drink brands, products sold in 150+ countries and territories and 500+ global ambassadors.
But Monster has never been built like a conventional drinks company.
The brand lives through its fans and the worlds they care about, from motorsport and action sports to gaming, music and culture. Monster describes its approach as supporting the scene, its athletes, bands and fans rather than relying on conventional advertising.
Now we're looking for the people who can bring that same energy into stores across London.
About the Role
THIS ISN'T A "VISIT THE STORE AND TAKE AN ORDER" ROLE. As a Trade Development Manager, you'll take ownership of your territory and turn it into a Monster stronghold.
You'll be out in the market every day, building relationships with independent retailers, opening new accounts and creating more opportunities for Monster to be ranged, chilled, visible and sold.
- More doors.
- More range.
- More facings.
- More space.
- Better execution.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll work alongside Monster's bottling partner while becoming the face of Monster to independent retailers across your patch. The objective is simple: make Monster impossible to miss.
Responsibilities
OWN YOUR PATCH This is your territory, and you'll be expected to run it like your own business.
You'll identify where the biggest opportunities are, build a call plan that maximises impact and take responsibility for delivering the numbers.
That means:
- Winning new independent customers and expanding Monster's distribution.
- Increasing range, facings and chilled availability across your territory.
- Negotiating additional space and secondary sitings – then defending them and growing them.
- Bringing promotions to life and ensuring they're executed properly in-store.
- Using POS, chillers and secondary displays to make Monster unmissable.
- Building genuine commercial relationships with retailers so they value your advice and take your call.
- Working collaboratively with Monster's bottling partner teams to deliver shared objectives.
- Understanding the commercial levers behind a sale – rate of sale, margin, promotional mechanics and forecasts.
- Feeding back competitor and market intelligence that helps shape wider commercial decisions.
- Managing your stock, kit, reporting and territory spend with the same ownership you'd expect if it were your own business.
Selling Ability
CAN YOU SELL? We're interested in selling ability, attitude and potential, not just whether you've already worked for an FMCG brand.

Get help with your application
Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
You might already be working in field sales, FMCG or convenience and want the opportunity to represent a bigger brand with genuine ownership of your territory.
Or you might come from retail, convenience, hospitality or another sales or customer-facing environment where you've learned how to influence people, handle objections and get a result.
What matters is what happens when someone tells you no.
Can you understand the objection? Build the commercial case? Negotiate rather than simply concede? And turn that conversation into a result?
If you can, Monster can teach you the category, customers and kit.
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- A full UK manual driving licence is essential – you'll be field-based and driving a company-provided, Transit-sized manual vehicle.
- You'll also need to be comfortable working independently, managing a busy territory and speaking to retailers every day.
- Previous field sales, FMCG or convenience experience is an advantage, but it isn't essential.
- We're looking for people with the energy, resilience, organisation and commercial instinct to make things happen.
- And because this is a London territory, you'll need to live within the M25 and be comfortable spending your working week out in the market.
