We are working with one of the largest financial services organisations across Asia, which has a strong and growing presence throughout Europe. This bank has harnessed a consistent and stable flow of business and continues to perform well - it is a great time to join them.

As a result of strong performance, the EMEA legal team is now looking for an experienced Trade Finance Lawyer to join their Corporate Lending Legal team, for an initial period of 12 months.

What will the role involve:

  • Drafting, reviewing and advising on a broad range of complex finance documentation (BAFT, LMA etc.) with a particular focus on trade finance documentation;
  • Supporting and advising on the structuring and execution of such bespoke and complex transactions in accordance with internal requirements and policies and external regulations;
  • Liaise and build relationships quickly with internal stakeholders, and the front office/trade bankers, and assist them with structuring credit deals;
  • Be a problem-solver, and offer solutions;
  • Establishing yourself as a ‘trusted adviser’ from early on.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What skill-sets are we looking for?

  • You must be a trade finance specialist, and be able to hit the ground running in this area;
  • And within trade finance, you must be a generalist across trade spanning a variety of different areas of trade;
  • You must have global and cross-border experience;
  • Min. 4 years’ PQE to senior level – exact PQE is not important, as long as you are a trade finance expert, with plenty of breadth and depth to your experience;
  • Someone who is adept at, and sensitive to, working with different cultures.

This is a 12-month contract, that may be extended or made permanent for the right candidate. The interview process will start in early Sept, with potential start date of late Sept/early Oct.
