Our client, a commodities firm, is looking for a Trade Finance Officer to join their team in London.
Your Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Trade Finance Manager, the role is responsible for managing the financing of the Group’s Oil, LNG and Power trading activities.
- Managing the presentation, allocation and day-to-day administration of transactions with financing banks, including bilateral facilities and borrowing base facilities.
- Reviewing, controlling and issuing Letters of Credit (LCs) and Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs).

Required Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operational Trade Finance and/or Documentary Credit environment, with a strong focus on physical commodity transactions and associated documentation.
- Previous experience within the commodities sector, with strong commercial acumen and specialist knowledge of Trade Finance and Documentary Credits relating to physical Oil, LNG and Power flows.
- In-depth knowledge of LCs, SBLCs, collections and guarantees, including the rules and frameworks governing them, such as UCP, URC, URDG and ISP.
