Key Responsibilities
- Review incoming and outgoing correspondence to identify key information, statutory deadlines, timetables for future activity/requirements and other docketing details, and updating IP software database accordingly.
- Assist with quality assurance checks, including providing feedback, guidance, and sharing of knowledge with more junior team members.
- Assist with allocation of workload within a small team.
- Support portfolio onboarding, including review of IP portfolios, data creation, and data verification for critical fields and deadlines.
- Assist with due diligence related to trade mark and IP portfolios, including auditing of data from national IPO, local associates, and other commercial databases.
- Implement standard system-generated documents including letters, forms, and reports for global Bird & Bird offices.
Essential
What you'll bring
- Experience of trade mark formalities and administration activities within a large team environment servicing multi-national trade mark portfolios.
- A working knowledge of the formalities requirements for protecting trade marks and designs.
- Able to work independently and support global partners/clients remotely.
- Strong Trade Mark docketing experience.
- CITMA qualification (preferred)
- Good technical document management skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to take complex documents and present simply and concisely.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with good attention to detail.
- An ability to stay calm in demanding situations, in particular when the fee-earners are operating under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Proven ability to deal with confidential matters.
