The Role

Our client, a well-regarded City of London law firm, is looking to recruit a Trade Mark Attorney to join its growing Trade Marks practice. This is a newly created role reflecting the practice's growth, covering a broad mix of transactional, advisory, and contentious trade mark work for a diverse client base ranging from private individuals to global corporations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied trade mark portfolio, from searches and filings through to oppositions and enforcement
  • Advising clients on trade mark strategy, portfolio management, and brand protection
  • Conducting clearance searches and risk assessments
  • Drafting and filing applications, oppositions, and related documents
  • Liaising with foreign associates on international portfolios
  • Drafting co-existence and settlement agreements, and domain/company name complaints
  • Supporting business development and staying current with trade mark law and practice

About You

  • Qualified Trade Mark Attorney, ideally 2-4Y PQE, with hands-on portfolio experience
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills
  • Excellent matter management and attention to detail
  • Confident working independently and as part of a small, growing team
