A leading intellectual property firm is looking for an experienced Trade Mark Paralegal to join its Trade Marks practice. This is a specialist environment working alongside expert attorneys and business services colleagues, acting for an impressive variety of clients.
What sets this opportunity apart is the level of autonomy on offer. Rather than being confined to narrow, process-driven tasks, you'll work directly with fee earners as a trusted extension of the team - taking the initiative on responses, turning work around quickly and accurately, and taking real ownership of your matters. You'll be trusted to manage your own priorities, identify what needs doing before you're asked, and see it through, all with the backing of senior colleagues who value proactive, self-motivated people.

The role is genuinely varied. You'll:
- Process, check and report on all stages of trade mark applications;
- Prepare and file UK, EU, International and foreign national marks and designs;
- Handle client portfolio queries and large recordal projects;
- Draft responses to official objections and provisional refusals;
- Manage oppositions, extensions of time and related formalities.
We're looking for someone with a solid background as a paralegal supporting partners and fee earners within a Trade Marks team, completion of the CITMA Paralegal Course, and up-to-date knowledge of UKIPO, EUIPO and International trade mark procedures.

Just as important is the mindset: outstanding written and spoken English, strong organisational skills, the confidence to liaise with the most senior people in the firm, and the resilience and initiative to thrive in a fast-paced but rewarding setting.
