Trade Marketing Manager – B2B Technology

The Opportunity
Talent Magpie is partnering with a fast-growing international technology business operating within the unattended retail sector. The company develops innovative technology that helps businesses transform traditional vending and self-service environments into modern, connected retail experiences.
We are seeking an experienced, energetic and highly hands-on Trade Marketing Manager to take ownership of the marketing function during a period of continued international growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded B2B marketer who enjoys combining strategy with delivery. You will develop campaigns, create content, coordinate exhibitions, support the sales team and manage external creative partners.
Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and wider commercial team, you will ensure that trade marketing activity remains closely aligned with commercial priorities across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Marketing Leadership
- Take day-to-day ownership of the trade marketing function.
- Deliver the company’s B2B trade marketing strategy across the UK and European markets.
- Act as the senior marketing voice within the business.
- Maintain a consistent and compelling brand across every customer touchpoint.
- Work closely with commercial leadership to align marketing activity with sales and growth objectives.
- Manage multiple marketing projects, deadlines and external partners.
Events and Exhibitions
- Lead the company’s European events and exhibitions programme.
- Coordinate approximately five to seven trade shows each year.
- Manage several exhibitions and events during the opening months of the assignment.
- Organise customer roadshows and other industry-facing events.
- Oversee venues, suppliers, logistics, exhibition materials and internal communication.
- Represent the business confidently when engaging with customers, partners and industry contacts.
- Travel across Europe when required.

Sales and Marketing Operations
- Manage the company’s CRM and marketing automation platform.
- Develop and deliver targeted email campaigns.
- Support the sales team with presentations, pitch decks, case studies and customer collateral.
- Improve communication with existing and prospective B2B customers.
- Create trade marketing materials that support customer acquisition and commercial growth.
- Build efficient processes that strengthen collaboration between marketing and sales.
Content and Digital Marketing
- Manage the company’s social media presence and content calendar.
- Write engaging copy for campaigns, websites, email and social media.
- Support online community engagement across relevant channels.
- Create professional, on-brand digital and visual assets.
- Make routine website and content updates.
- Undertake basic video editing where required.
- Brief and manage external designers, freelancers and creative partners on larger projects.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive, confident and commercially focused trade marketing professional who is comfortable taking ownership and making things happen.
You should bring:
- At least five years’ marketing experience, ideally within a B2B technology environment.
- Experience in trade marketing, sales enablement or customer-focused B2B marketing.
- Experience within unattended retail, vending, payments, retail technology or a related sector would be advantageous.
- A strong track record of working independently and managing competing priorities.
- Hands-on experience coordinating trade shows, exhibitions, roadshows or customer events.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Experience using HubSpot or a comparable CRM and marketing automation platform.
- The ability to create effective B2B content, presentations and sales collateral.
- Confidence communicating directly with customers, commercial partners and senior stakeholders.
- A strong eye for design and brand consistency.
- Working knowledge of Canva, Figma or similar creative platforms.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach—you will be comfortable executing the work as well as setting the direction.
- An international outlook and the ability to collaborate across different markets and cultures.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
- Native-level or fully fluent written and spoken English.
- French or German language skills would be a valuable advantage.
