About Philip Kingsley

Philip Kingsley is a leading premium haircare brand built on more than 65 years of Trichological expertise. We combine science, innovation and a deep understanding of hair and scalp health to create award-winning products trusted by customers and professionals around the world. As we enter an exciting period of growth, we are looking for a commercially driven and ambitious Trade Marketing Manager to join our Sales Team.

The role

Reporting directly to the Global Sales Director, the Trade Marketing Manager will translate Philip Kingsley's brand strategy, innovation pipeline and marketing priorities into compelling customer propositions and high-impact trade activation across retail, digital, salon and specialist channels.

Acting as a key bridge between Sales and Marketing, you will develop category-led recommendations, customer selling stories, launch toolkits and activation plans that enable stronger retailer conversations, improve execution and support profitable commercial growth.

This is a highly collaborative role for someone who can combine strategic thinking, commercial analysis and creative execution. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities and working hands-on in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

Category and commercial strategy

  • Develop category growth recommendations that support customer objectives and Philip Kingsley's commercial priorities.
  • Use consumer, customer, market and competitor insight to identify category trends, whitespace opportunities and potential growth drivers.
  • Support annual commercial planning, joint business planning and range reviews with clear category analysis and recommendations.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure innovation, campaign and channel priorities reflect customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the premium beauty and haircare landscape, sharing relevant trends and implications with the wider business.

Customer selling stories and sell-in excellence

  • Develop compelling sell-in presentations for new product launches, brand campaigns and strategic commercial initiatives.
  • Translate consumer insight, brand strategy and product credentials into customer-relevant propositions with a clear commercial opportunity.
  • Create customer-ready presentations, launch toolkits, range-review materials and sales resources that are persuasive, accurate and easy to use.
  • Build selling stories that clearly articulate category trends, growth potential, points of difference and value for the customer.
  • Support key retailer meetings, annual reviews and strategic commercial discussions where trade marketing expertise is required.
  • Equip National Account Managers with the tools, insight and confidence to lead more strategic category conversations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
