Overview

At WD-40 Company, our brands are built on trust, purpose, and connection. Our marketing teams play a critical role in bringing those brands to life across channels, customers, and markets.

We are looking for a commercially minded Trade Marketing Manager to lead the development and delivery of our Trade channel marketing plans across the UK and Ireland. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Digital, and external partners to turn customer and market data into meaningful insight, uncover new opportunities, and create activity that supports sales and EBITDA growth.

This is a high-profile role with exposure across different areas of marketing and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across markets, share best practice, and shape how we grow our brands. You will join a positive, collaborative team that supports, guides, and challenges one another to make the business better than it is today.

The role is hybrid, with two regular office days each week, currently Tuesday and Thursday, alongside attendance at key meetings. Travel will be less than 20%, primarily across the UK and Ireland, with occasional European travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver rolling Trade channel marketing plans that grow brand awareness, distribution, product trial, and category profitability.
  • Turn customer, channel, and market data into clear insights, recommendations, and commercially focused actions.
  • Partner with the Trade Sales team to develop customer and channel plans, presentations, campaigns, and effective sales tools.
  • Support the growth of WD-40 Specialist through product launches, sampling, secondary locations, and customer campaigns.
  • Identify new opportunities within key channels, including the automotive market, and bring fresh thinking to established ways of working.
  • Measure campaign performance, complete post-activity analysis, and share learnings and recommendations with the wider team.
  • Plan and manage the Trade Marketing budget, including forecasting, promotional investment, and expenditure against plan.
  • Brief and manage agencies and other third-party partners, ensuring activity is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with our values.
  • Lead trade shows, events, sponsorships, promotions, and sampling opportunities.
  • Work across Sales, Marketing, Digital, Supply Chain, and other teams to ensure initiatives are effectively planned and delivered.
  • Coach and support the development of the Assistant Marketing Manager, creating an environment where people can learn, contribute, and perform at their best.
  • Live and promote WD-40 Company’s values in the way you lead, collaborate, and make decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
