POSITION SUMMARY

The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing retail marketing strategies for the UK & Ireland. This role involves enhancing consumer experience and increase brand conversion, shaping and driving bespoke omni-channel retail marketing plans, and ensuring strong commercial momentum.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The purpose of the role is to position the brand as a key partner to our retailers in line with the brand objectives as well as drive brand distortion through strong retail event / gift strategy and execution. You will provide the business with visibility on retail marketing plans and direction into opportunities and risks. You will monitor marketing performance on retail events identifying best practices and influencing future plans, driving revenue growth through marketing.


WHAT THIS ROLE DOES

  • Using insights into consumers’ profile and behaviours to define and execute compelling omni channel trade marketing strategies including but not limited to stores and key third-party accounts to increase consumers’ engagement and conversion to the brand
  • Lead strategy and execution of the High Traffic Moments programs such as seasonal holidays, Black Friday, Mother’s day among others
  • Lead and manage agencies and suppliers for locally developed programs and coordinate those end to end with all stakeholders
  • Build trade marketing plans with the Marketing and Sales team by national account.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of retail programs, promotional calendars, and events.
  • Manage budgets and pricing strategy for events, promotions, and retail marketing.
  • Provide visibility on retail marketing plans and identify opportunities and risks.
  • Monitor marketing performance on retail events, identify best practices, and influence future plans.
  • Drive revenue growth through marketing activities.
  • Manage end to end gift with purchase program with global and local stakeholders, to attract new consumers.
  • Conduct competitor audits, benchmarking, and trend tracking to shape retail marketing plans.
  • Report on data and industry trends relating to retail categories.
  • Ensure smooth adaptation and integration of global promotional plans into marketing plans.
  • Track promotional activities, event and gift performance to create a framework highlighting best practices.
  • Define and drive exclusive programs and special events with retailers.
  • Elevate and drive the overall in-store retail experience to deliver-on business objectives.
  • Liaise with global teams on strategy and product forecasting.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • Previous experience working as a Retail/Trade Marketing Manager.
  • P&L Management experience is an advantage
  • Strong in building relationships with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams/functions
  • Strong knowledge of the retail landscape in the UK and market trends.
  • Strong commercial outlook and ability to drive revenue growth through trade marketing activities.
  • Strong leadership and project management experience.
  • Hands-on, proactive, flexible, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about retail marketing.
  • Result-driven with a solid understanding of analytics and consumer insights.
  • Experience with global brands is an advantage.
