Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Trade Sales Counter Advisor role based in Rosyth. The position involves serving trade and retail customers at the sales counter, providing product advice, and processing orders and quotations accurately. The advisor will handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries, offer solutions from the plumbing, heating, and bathroom ranges, and proactively promote add-on and upsell opportunities. Daily tasks include maintaining a well-presented trade counter, coordinating with the warehouse and delivery teams, and supporting branch-wide sales initiatives. The role also requires updating customer records, ensuring high service standards, and contributing to a positive, collaborative branch culture.

- Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to build rapport with trade and retail customers and understand their requirements.
- Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to provide clear product information and handle enquiries confidently.
- Proven Sales experience or aptitude, including upselling and cross-selling within a trade or retail environment.
- Experience in Training or mentoring colleagues, or willingness to learn and share product and process knowledge with the team.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, heating, or building products, or enthusiasm to develop technical product understanding.
- Good numeracy and IT skills for handling quotations, orders, and stock systems accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced trade counter environment, prioritize tasks, and contribute to branch targets.
- Previous experience in merchant, trade counter, or similar customer-facing roles is advantageous.
