We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Trade Sales Manager to drive sales growth across our supply-only product portfolio. Working with trade customers, distributors, specialist subcontractors, and contractors, you will identify new business opportunities, manage customer relationships, and deliver commercially successful solutions that meet customer requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive sales professional who enjoys developing new business, building lasting customer partnerships, and achieving challenging growth targets. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and managing a pipeline of opportunities while supporting customers throughout the sales process.

You would also:

  • Achieve and exceed agreed order intake and revenue targets.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and secure new trade customers across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and other key sectors.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of supply-only opportunities.
  • Develop strong relationships with contractors, specialist subcontractors, distributors, and procurement teams.
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotations, ensuring compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with commercial and technical teams to provide compliant and commercially attractive solutions.
  • Proactively follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates and secure orders.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms within agreed guidelines.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to help shape business strategy.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our product portfolio, including steel doors, timber doors, glazed screens, fire curtains, blast doors, cleanroom doors, and related solutions.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Has a track record of achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Is commercially aware with the ability to identify and convert opportunities.
  • Has experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM systems effectively.
  • Can understand technical product information, specifications, and drawings.
  • Is highly organised, self-motivated, and customer focused.
  • Works collaboratively across functions to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience within construction products, building materials, architectural ironmongery, doorsets, access solutions, or a related sector.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Established relationships within the trade, contractor, or distribution market.
