Purpose of the Role
Due to strategic growth and increasing client demand, our IP Team has a new opportunity for an ambitious Senior Trade Mark Paralegal to take a leading role and make a real impact. You will help develop and manage a growing team of Trade Mark Paralegals, shaping processes and supporting junior colleagues. We are seeking applications from CITMA qualified Trade Mark Paralegals who are ready to step up and take ownership in a fast-paced, high-profile practice.

Addleshaw Goddard is an international law firm and premier provider of global brand management services. We manage UK and international trade mark portfolios for leading brands including Liverpool Football Club, British Airways, Vitality, Stella McCartney, Atom Bank, Harrods, Kickers International, MoneySuperMarket and Travelodge Hotels.
Our work spans global monitoring and searching, clearance of new brands, and filing and prosecution of UK and foreign trade mark applications. We handle disputes (including oppositions and cancellations), renewals and wider portfolio maintenance, ensuring our clients’ trade marks are protected, enforced and maximised worldwide.

What to Expect in This Role
- Manage a team of paralegals, overseeing work allocation, providing technical guidance and training, and driving workflow and process improvements.
- Handle filing and prosecution, online research and database searching.
- Draft and oversee domestic and international applications.
- Respond to official communications and manage billing, renewals and portfolio maintenance.
- Gain exposure to market-leading national and international work, supported by a strong team of subject matter experts.
- We value continuous self-development and will support you through formal training, mentoring, coaching and leadership development.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise
- CITMA qualified with at least 5 years’ IP/trade mark experience, ideally including supervision or coordination of others, in private practice or in-house.
- Strong communication skills, high levels of organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage high-volume, complex workloads.
- Confidence with Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to a high-performance culture are essential.
